I have a 66 Sprite with a 1275 that replaced the 1098. The tach hasn't worked since I've had it. It started just stuck around 5k. Now it bounces regularly, but never gets to the low numbers. Where do

First take it apart. There is probably something foreign inside causing the stick, bounce, etc. We just did this yesterday and found a part of the rubber gasket floating around inside the housing. --
