- BTDT and almost repaired my aluminum gate latch. Just as the aluminum rod started to melt and weld the broken latch, the latch melted into a blob of aluminum. I think it only works on beer cans. -- F

- Many years ago I used one of those kits to "weld" a repair in a Yamaha motorcycle crankcase. It worked great. The repair was solid, didn't leak oil, and didn't crack over the next 10,000 miles I rode
