Try more heat. I tried a number of things on my car, but it was the torch that finally worked. I used one big wrench on the nut and one smaller wrench with a 2' cheater bar on the tie rod end. --Ste

I'm hesitant to use much heat on suspension parts, so I have a technique for such things: I use LOTS of Liquid Wrench, applied two or three times a day for a few days, then if that doesn't loosen it

I got the tie rod off using 1 pipe wrench at 14" and a bigger mother of a wrench at 18". It fought me the whole way but using liquid wrench and what little strength I had left, it came free. Now I'm

I got the tie rod nut to catch by rapping the knuckle with a rubber hammer while tightening a regular nut and split washer. Then I put the lock nut back on and it tightened right up! Thanks so much
