Remeber that the contact patch remains the same regardless of tire width. It is just distributed differently, ie wider tire, wider patch; skinny tire, longer patch. __________________________________

The problem with vintage racing tires is that they don't make many of them in 14" anymore. Try AVON tires. They are sold in Europe and come in 14" size, but I don't know if they are legal for your cl

I've got 195/60/14, which will fit on your rims. The minimum recommended rim width for all the 195/60/14 tires I looked at was 5.5". You can also run 185/60/14 tires (narrower and shorter) or 198/65/
