Don, I run 175-70 R13 on my Alpine with stock wheels. Fit fine. Of course I also ran 235-50-R 13 on "stock" wheels that only had a 4" band welded in to make them 8 1/2" wide. Ran those on my Tiger II

I went to a tire store that had a big cache of used rims and found that 4 lug late model mustang rims fit fine and they were wider. 6 inches I think they were. I paid 15 dollars a piece for them and
