I have a curious question. I'm selling a tonneau for an MGA 1600 on ebay (not a plug) but so far I have received questions from 3 people asking me if this is a long or short tonneau. I wasn't aware

The "Long" tonneau was secured at the back by a row of studs in the metal bodywork just behind the rear cockpit rail. The "Short" tonneau attached to studs set in the rear rail itself. Lawrie Britis

In the MGB world some refer to the cover for the package area behind the seats as the "short cover". IIRC, when I had my '60 A there was no cover like that, only the regular tonneau. Mike '79B

I have had the vinyl dye done on my seats about 6 years ago on my MGB. It made the seats look like new and still 6 years later they look great. I would say that could be a good inexpensive way to go.
