If your not going to use a tonneau cover, don't put the damn stud on the dash pad. This is where most dash pads crack. I put my studs on the defroster vent holes, the two furthest apart and it works

If you haven't installed the dash pad yet you can install rivnuts and use machine thread studs. A SS washer is always a good idea to spread the crush and reduce cracking but the main point is that wh
