My top-loader with .70 Overdrive in 4th and a 2:88 final gives me 2500 or so R.P.M. at 120 Kilometers per hour which is somewhere around 70 or 75 MPH. I never did figure all this out all formulas as

These overdrive Top Loader transmissions were used by Ford in th ''77/''78 Monarchs and Granadas in the "80's. I think the normal third gear was converted to an overdrive gear. They are an easy swap
