My TR6 (1974.5) already has 3 snaps below the quarter windows. The issue is that if all you do is unsnap them, then fold the top, the quarter windows may or may not fold in such a way that they tear

Vance & Sloane, Back when I had a soft top on my car(now surrey), the proper way to lower the top is unsnap all the snaps, including the snaps on the underside on one of the top rails & pull the top

The TR6 top lowering/raising may not be up to the modern standards in terms of eas of use, but it is TONS better than the early TR's were! BTW, the process of lowering the "hood" is well documented

I've always seen it as more of a "fold" than a "roll". Regardless... yes the quarter windows do then lay exposed on top of the collapsed hood allowing them to sometimes flap in the breeze if you don

I bought a mohair top from Prestige. Haven't had a chance to install it yet but it looks and feels great! Sorry but their price for any fabric is over $300. The tops below $300 are all vinyl. Dave F
