- Tom Hall has recommended a loose fit. LAT, and the manufacturer recommend a tight fit. I used thin sheet rubber between clamp and spring to prevent slippage (lots of force fore and aft), and tighten

- My experience with the bolt-on type bars was that if the bolts were tightened too much, it seriously limited the rear springs ability to work properly. Just as Steve Laifman said, it severely hamper
