You should use a strap to attach the winch cable to the car. Cables and hooks will mar the paint. It is really difficult to get a strap or cable with hook around the front cross member which would be

And if you ever need to winch the BJ8 onto the trailer, pay attention to the clearance between the exhaust system and the trailer bed. Had my exhaust system ripped apart when I did that. Fortunately
