Any listers who have used the electronic voltage stabilizer sold for $20 by Brooks Motor Products (www.rustfreeroadsters.com)in Florida? Seem to be a good alternative to building one yourself. Jostei

How many volts are suppose to go to the water and fuel gauges? I bought a new one from SS and its the same volts on both prongs. It looks as if they are adjustable or should I buy another one?

they Terry: you need a 10 volt output for the temp and fuel gauge. I guess dividing by 12 was to hard for the gauge engineers to figure out!

Paul, Actually it's more like 13.6 volts, and varies considerably during charge and loading. That's why there is a car voltage regulator, and an instrument voltage regulator, and that's why it's set

I think Paul is right, the output of the voltage regulator for the instruments should be 10V. The generator/alternator voltage regulator should run at around 14.3V, but depending on engine speed and

Bob, Isn't that exactly what I said? Even to using the same 13.6 volts you cite, and the large variation making it unusable as an instrument reference. Quote: Paul, Actually it's more like 13.6 volts

You are 100% correct, and we all know that. I thought the question was why 2 output terminals at 10 volt, and why 10 volts instead of 12. The answer everybody agrees on is that the dual outputs are
