I believe the original lyric was from "Cool Hand Luke" Paul Newman (Luke) sat down and sang it after he heard his Mother had died while he was in jail. Mike Myers HAN7 On Sat, 06 Dec 2003 08:46:47 -0
No No, how it goes is: I don't care if it rains or freezes, I got me a plastic jesus sittin' on the dashboard of my car. And I don't sweat and I don't worry, 'cause right along side is a plastic mary
I think this is the orignal source.... http://www.folkways.si.edu/broadside/htdocs/Marrs.htm Not much to do here in NJ right now, just shovel and drink ;-) -- -- William M. Gilroy 77 Midget 95 Toyota
Shame on you for not getting your priorities straight! You are supposed to shovel a path to your garage and work on your Spridget. Gotta get back out to the garage now myself... David Lieb
I did just that. Now I am waiting for Bondo to dry. Cleaned up some of the garage, made sure the heater still worked OK, stuck a rug under the yellow Bugeye so I don't have to kneel on cold concrete,
Lets see, the garage is attached but the Spridget is parked outside next to the garage under at least a foot of snow. Now who needed a plan ..... -- -- William M. Gilroy 77 Midget 95 Toyota 01 Irish

I did go to my garage but got in my 76 MBG for a hart felt drive to and from work. She goes great in the snow. As does the midget. Looking forward to the ride tomorrow. George 76 midget 76 mgb 80 mgb
