I know that my car began life as an automatic from the "10/37" stamped on the rear axle. So I have a "longer" diff which hopefully makes up for the non-overdrive 4-synchro gearbox stamped "1B8930 25/

When I bought my 71BGT, it came with what was reported to be an Austin Marina motor. It was still the basic 18V block with a higher number - it may have been an 807. I know it wasn't referenced anywh
