My guess it's either a Riley or a Singer. Singer due to the angular shape of the bonnet, or Riley due to the rear end treatment and the shape of the peak of the radiator. The Riley badge is diamond

Can't tell for sure. I am pretty sure it is not a VW kit car. It looks most like a singer, but could be a riley or a standard, although I don't think it is a standard.
