Andy, it is not necessary to remove the dash to get the windshield out. You must loosen the left and right pillar bolts and the the center main bolts behind the dash. You will not be able to see the

It can be done with very little effort. The left side is a little tougher than the right but not impossible. I don't recall what what wrench was needed but none the less it only took about 45 minutes

I did it quite easily (twice) with the dash in place. I used my Craftsman (sorry, couldn't resist) open end wrench--sorry, can't remember the size. You can only turn the bolt a fraction of a turn at
