Really depends on the year, late models had a black motor, and a silver gear housing, silver like the valve cover and air cleaner. (I went with this combination, semi-gloss engine enamel black with M

All the TR6's I've owned, going back to my first purchase of a '70 model in 1973 had the wiper motor case in bare cast metal. The steel motor covers were painted in Hammerite "Hammered Silver Gray".
