I run one and monitor oil temps with a gauge in the pan. I see temps up to 250 range routinely. But I run in Texas. I find when we race in November and February I have to block air flow to the cooler

It seems not logical to make the oil capacity greater : if you need more oil to keep the temperature down, the oil is too cool for the biggest part of a 30' race. Why not stick with the standard oil
