Hello Friends, I was looking into the fact that an axle seal on my Southwick conversion blew, or at least I thought it was a seal problem, but I just pulled the axle out and found that the outer race

Dave, I am assume you are talking about a Tapered Roller Bearing Cup? Or is it a Complete Ball Bearing? Did the race crack ACROSS the raceway? Or Was it around the CIRCUMFERENCE of the raceway? If a

The brg. is roller type for the ford moser Southwick conversion. It's a slip fit in the axle flange , ford type with c clamp. The outer race cracked clean across allowing grease to exit into the insi

Dave, OK. That makes more sense now for that bearing type. Fr the race to CRACK. There is something wrong with the FIT of the OUTER ring in the housing. If it's a 'slide/clearance' fit into the axle
