I use an Opel Manta 2L radiator with an Opel B Kadet expansion tank. I had an overflow bottle but the bottle caused trouble if the water is forced out by a leaking head gasket. I removed the bottle.

Chris you are right , in my early morning confusion, the tank I described is my vent tank , the exspansion tank I us is a Jegs, it is plastic and cost 16.99 and the part # is 555-511012 which is blue
