- Hi Rick, Will the new pump overheat if the filter is restricted? The SUs are cooled by the fuel passing through, and the SUs will pass substantial bits of trash. SUs need the fuel flow for cooling. T

- Sure. The aftermarket pump has no overheating issues. Original pump needs a rebuild kit. I rebuilt it using the old parts and it ran until the clogged up. The aftermarket pump was on the shelf. Happy
