I just finished a 16' X 30' shed but don't have plans and didn't have a permit. Don't ask--don't tell around here. Basically a pole barn design with truss roof. Metal roofing and siding from surplus

That's a good point- the OP could potentially save some money by buying scrap materials, surplus materials, etc. Maybe check around his area to find places that sell surplus, ask on craiglist, etc. _
