I've had a problem last few outings. Car acts like the key is turned off. For a few seconds, then comes back, then goes off. Then is fine. Not on freeway, but around town. I've run into similar befor

Sounds like water in the gas. When you have drained from the bottom you are seeing it as water is heavier. Don't know how much is in your tank but I would drain it from the bottom to be sure I got it

Peter, The bubbles you see in the gas are water bubbles. With a lot of water in the gas, you ll see long worms of water (2 ) often containing debris. This was a common spring-time problem for me with

The only engine I have trouble starting in the spring is the roto-tiller. I have to remove the air filter and spray gas in order to get it started. I then run it on 1/2 choke for about 5 minutes. The

"Alcohol" is a general descriptor of a chemical class, not any particular molecule. Dragsters used methanol (a 1-carbon alcohol), and biofuels are normally ethanol (2-carbon). These alcohols have the

I've been told by folks in the industry that butanol also does not attack the rubber components in the fuel system the way ethanol does. But will it be economically viable? Ethanol is on the cusp. Fu

It's true that Alcohol (Ethanol) does not have the "energy density" of gasoline, and if you have a fuel injected car you generally get somewhat worse mileage out of 10% ethanol fuel than out of strai
