This past Monday I broke down and purchased a 1972 TR6 with 62,695 original miles :) The car is a two owner car where the 2nd owner purchased it in 1976 from his friend who had purchased the car new.

Morning George, Looking down in the gas tank it looks solid but there is some light rust. A radiator shop in town will clean the tank and then coat it with a liquid liner of some sort that seals it.

Sounds like you are on the right track, if you are planning on starting it up the only thing I would add is you might check the diaphragms on the Stromberg carbs, easy to check and if they dried and

Tim, Good point. I hadn't even thought about the thrust washers prior to your comment. Without clutch hydraulics it might be a little difficult but that will be the first thing I check when I put it
