When I had my 260 heads rebuilt we went with larger valves due to the excessive seat wear. The valves were Chevy valves, much larger selection of sizes that was available from Ford. That engine made

All I am running a comp cams hydraulic roller in my 260. If I remember correct I used 1.67 intake valves when I rebuilt the heads. Screw in studs, roller rockers, etc... The cam specs are intake.448

In my case it was mission creep. Needed a throw out bearing. Pulled engine. Thought maybe a new clutch. Then, valve guides would be a good idea since there is no more lead. Screw in studs are a great
