I have used dot 5 since 1978 . No water can get in unless you leave the MC cap off and wash the engine.. I use dot 5 exclusively as does the US post office and military. My brakes/ clutch will work.

I have found I need to use high temp dot 4 or a hard drive gets the fluid boiling within 5-10 minutes. It pretty much rules out any other alternatives. _______________________________________________
