Hi Jay, You're correct. The solenoid is a relay. I've never measured the resistance of the Tiger's starter solenoid but I think the current it draws is probably within reasonable bounds for the start

You shouldn't need a relay for the starter solenoid. It is in fact, a relay itself. For cleaning the inside of female connectors, use electrical contact cleaner. You should be able to get it at most
