When I bought my MKI in 1971 it came with a bad motor. The local auto parts store couldn't get a new one even way back then. BUT, they sent mine out and had it re-wound, its worked great ever since.

Just remove the shifter boot and you will have a constant flow of heat. :) Generally the problem with the blower motor is that the bushings seize to the motor shaft. You can get inside the motor but
