Hello again,

I am trying to fit new carpet in my 72 TR6. Originally I had purchased both
the carpet and the 'quiet' underfelt from Moss. The carpet that I received
didn't meet my expectations and was returned the same day. I am very pleased
with the carpet set from TRF. Though I did keep the 'quiet' underfelt kit.

This is my first time fitting carpet in a car and I am having some problems.
The Moss underfelt appears to be oversized and there are additional pieces.
Yet there are no instructions or suggestions on how to put this stuff in the
car. I was given the impression that this kit was the same as the stock
stuff, just made out of better material.

Other than the fact that it's thicker the main difference between the stock
underfelt and the stuff that I bought from Moss is the fact that there is
glue on one side of the Moss felt. The extra pieces appear to be for the
sills under the doors. I don't think that I can actually use these and have
the carpet fit nicely.

What have others that have used the Moss underfelt done? Do I just trim the
pieces a little to make them fit? Or compress the extra and hope that it
fits better after a few weeks? I am really concerned that once I stick this
stuff down the carpet won't fit very well.

Thanks,
Don Clark
