I had the same problem. It just happened. Not that I touched anything to cause 
it.
I eventually found out that there was not sufficient grounding from the block to
the chassis. My car should really have had two other ground straps apart from 
the
regular battery ground strap with three areas to attach. Good luck with the 
search
for solution. Let us know what the ailment is.
