But Mark, as ever, not everyone agrees with this opinion.
On the site of vtr (www.vtr.org) I found an article from a guy who already 
drove about 60000 miles with his TR6 with the original valves.  And 
unleaded of course.

But most people (and also part manufacturers of course) will tell you to 
replace.

Personally, mine are not replaced but I use an additive in my fuel...

Mark,

TR6s didn't come with hardened valve seats from the factory.  This was
okay back when leaded gas was available, but now that we can only get
unleaded, the seats loose their strength and the valves start receding
into the head.  Not good.  By putting hardened valve seats in the head
when doing a rebuild or head freshening, the engine is now okay for
unleaded.
