Rick, I'm not sure how to solve your squeek problem. I've used silicone
spray on rubber bushings but should work equally well on poly. Perhaps you
can get the car on a lift at a local garage the kind you drive on to, and
have someone yank on the rear bumper while you listen for the squeek. How
about the lever shocks, or even the shock links, they have rubber inserts at
the pivot point. If it is your diff mount, I found a guy at work who did
MIG or TIG welding on the side and in addition to fixing the cracked moun he
welded in some reinforcement plates. Actually, we made them up on the spot,
he had me run down to home depot and get some steel plate stock for a few
bucks. He had a sawzall with a hacksaw blade and cut 4 gussetts using a
pattern made out of index card stock. Its obvious once you get down there
and see the mount. I also drilled holes in the plates to allow for water
drainage. I paid him about $100 bucks and it took him about 4 hours, but he
made a house call and boy was it cold that night. Anyway, I put on some
poly diff mounts recently, and they work great but my only complaint is that
they transmit rear diff noise to the frame but I must admit its a solid
shift feel, no torque clunk and very forgiving if you let up off the clutch
too quick.
