I was shown a fax from Laycock advising a Canadian parts guy that racing
20w50 was the way to go.

Subject: Proper oil for O/D?

Hi Listers,

I was reading the Oct'97 BritishCar Magazine (pg 47) this morning about
oils. They said British-Leyland (in the early '70s), mistakenly told
owners
to use gearoil 90 in the tranny even with overdrive. But the article
didn't
say what should be used in the 1972 gearbox with Type-A overdrive.

Can somebody tell me what to use? Is 20w-50 engine oil OK?

Thanks in Advance!
