Exactly what happend to me a month ago! Rather disturbing after driving
just the day before. A MC rebuild kit did the job just fine - er excepting
reassembly of the piston incorectly, as did I. Its amazing and disturbing
how these fail overnight!!! I had to hone out the bore as well because mine
was a tad rough. Line up a bleeding assistant, and go to town.

Subject: Brake Troubles

Hi All,
I have been driving my TR6 allot lately with all the nice weather here in
New
England. I jumped in the car today after it sat for two days and started it.
My brake pedal went right to the floor! No drive tonight! Anyway all the
brake
fluid was gone...and it was a little wet where the master cylinder bolts up.
It seems odd the master cylinder would fail while sitting. The brakes seemed
fine the last time I drove it. I guess I will pull it apart in the next day
or
so. Anyone else have this happen?
 Thanks! Charles
