Al,
I've rebuilt 7 or 8 over the years and at best none lasted more than 18
months without leaking. The new m/cs I've filled with silicone fluid
have never failed or leaked in years of service.
I'd bite the bullet and buy a new one. The consequences of brake failure
are too dire to not go this route or at least have them re-sleeved by
White Post, Apple or others.

I've experienced my third loss of brake pressure in three months. Time
for
action.
The only leak I see is a slight trickle where the M/C meets the brake
servo.
My guess is the master cylinder needs attention.
Anybody had good success rebuilding the brake M/C or is best to just buy
a new
complete unit?
Gee, do you think M/C needs to be rebuilt because its 26 years old or
because
I put silicone in the system 2 years ago? LOL
Thanks
