Joshua,

I have had the same results on both my old car (plymouth) and a Honda MC,
never did figure it out.

Just out of curiosity what plugs are you using now??

Thanks

Steve

Listers, in an attempt to remedy my sputtering under acceleration problem I
have worked from simple to well...less simple. First, I changed out my fuel
filter (which led to a whole other host of "problems" if you recall my post
2 weeks ago regarding speeding home to stop the fuel from lining my garage
floor), then I checked for vacuum leaks, I then dealt with the timing and
carb adjustment (based on the white plug contacts I the fact that the
sputtering went away with the choke engaged I figured I was running lean).
After all this I did not see any appreciable difference regarding the
sputtering. Then I changed the spark plugs and presto!! Sputtering gone!!
The plugs were white but they didn't seem that bad at all...what happened?
