Where I come from private email is kept private. Not published on a
public list. It goes without saying.
After I made my post on commercial messages, Jim Swarthout contacted me
and convinced me I *may* have misinterpreted what he said in regard to
competitors products. I gave him the benefit of the doubt and retracted
my comment.
Evidently he was not satisfied with my retraction and engaged me in a
series of distaste private emails, one of which he just chose to make
public.
Jim has convinced me I need to make a further retraction from my
original commercial messages post. I retract the following statement.
"I welcome his (Jim's) presence on the list, and would view his
absence from it as a loss."
