Kevin, Thanks for the reminder. I'll go one more step - while disassembling
a brake caliper I used compressed air to blow the pistons out. They didn't
come all the was out so I squeezed one of them back in. There was still
brake fluid and a little brake parts cleaner in the caliper and, of course,
the piston displaced the fluid quickly, squirting it right in my eye. I was
wearing safety glasses and an organic vapor respirator but the fluid went
under the glasses - I should have been wearing goggles!

Fortunately brake fluid and parts cleaner are eye irritants (still
dangerous though) and my eyes are fine after a very long 15 min rinse.

Thanks, Pat

I was working in the shop with my 16yr old son. He was welding, I was
grinding. I am 47 years old, and old habits die hard. I wear safety glasses
if they are handy, and if I think about it and if... Well, I got a fairly
large sliver of steel imbedded in my cornea. Hurt like he... Went to the
opthomologist and had it removed with this little dremmel tool thing. Still
in mucho pain. Should fully recover, but I have learned my lesson:

WEAR YOUR SAFETY GLASSES!
