I recently purchased window channel strips from the above place and they seem
to be of the right size and very similar to the originals. You will need to
drill out the rivets which hold the brackets in place and carefully measure
the location to place on the new channels. Twenty four #4-40x1/2" screws were
used in place of rivets and the nuts were mig welded as not to come loose. I
did have to remove some of the rubber backing material on the outside of the
channel, so it would fit around the top bracket. I don't see any problems with
the fit, but it will be some time before they are installed in the doors. Oh
yeah, $30.00 delivered to my door from England.
I also had JC Whitney send me some samples of their weather channels, but it
will be 2-3 weeks before the samples arrive. I'll report my findings when they
arrive.
