Removed Pertronix this morning and installed points. Starts easier and
eliminated some hesitation and cutting out at around 3 grand. Still idles
rough
but getting better. BTW the rockers are 1.6to1 with .250 lift and 280
duration.
Set timing at 4 degrees ATDC dynamic. CR is 9.5to1. All new stainless
valves, hardened seats, hardened lifters, heavy duty pushrods. .20 over
pistons.
Total machine shop bill was $700. I am afraid to add up the parts bill.
Its supposed to get close to 80 degrees here in the Portland/Vancouver area
tomorrow so I should get some real quality drive time on the beast.
