guys,
i got a remanufactured lucas alternator from NAPA for my '71 TR and put it
in last night. it's charging fine now, but the alternator is making a sort
of muted whistling noise that gets more pronounced and higher pitched as
the RPM's increase. my old alt didnt make this noise and i can see it
becoming annoying...
is it the nature of the beast or perhaps i did something wrong on
installation? the belt tension seems ok, although i did it by eye and not
with a ruler.
