Happy Thanksgiving, folks.
I am preparing to drop my diff and send it to Quantum for a condition
assessment, rebuild if necessary and drain plug retrofit. While it's
out, I'd like to have my mounts gusseted. This would involve having a
local welding outfit make a house-call (or barn-call, in this case).
So...to avoid additional work, is there a procedure (and prescribed set
of precautions) to have this welding done with the gas tank in place?
Or, am I just being recklessly lazy?
Any thoughts would be appreciated.
