Tom,
 
Next time it happens, instead of disconnecting the battery, pull the  
white/red wire off the starter relay and see what happens. If it still runs on, 
 then 
the problem is in the solenoid. If not, put the white/red wire back on and  
try it again. 
 
This time, instead of the white/red wire, pull the white/orange wire and  see 
what happens. If the starter still runs on, then the relay is at fault. If  
not, then the seat belt module is the culprit.
 
If it's the seat belt module, locate the white/red and the white/orange  
wires at the module plug and cut them off, then connect the two wires together  
(not the wires going into the module, but the wires as they go back to the rest 
 
of the harness).
