        Don, Michael:

Moss sells new packing for the window glass, probably Vicky Brit
and TRF do as well.
Fold the new packing lengthwise and insert into the channel.
Spray the edge of the glass with Windex (for lubrication) and place the
channel with packing on the edge of the glass. Use a SMALL hammer and
tap the channel/packing into place on the edge of the glass.
Install the glass as per Bentley.

        Cheers,

        Vance

Michael,

As you have noticed, these are just a simple friction type connection.
As
long as whatever sealant used does not react with the 'rubber' packing
piece
it should work. For how long is another question. Has the carrier
channel
opened up and lost its grip?

More likely that the 'rubber' packing has dried out and shrunk. I would
probably start of by trying to find a new packing material. Something
on
the order of an EPDM should work nicely. It comes in varying thickness
from
0.010" - 0.100" as a sheet material. Just a thought.

Don
