1. Both; and it would help to change out the drier.

2. Mineral,if you are putting in R12 or Freeze 12.

3. Definitely; If you hook up to the high side you could overpressurize the
Freon can and blow your hand off. Thats why AC techs call those little cans
"Hand Grenades"!
