John---Look down between the spring coils and locate the prong on the
spindle. This prong must be depressed to allow disassembly. Once it
comes apart, you get to fit the new seal over the piston. Lots of brake
fluid, a non-sharp tool and your favorite chant will persuade the seal
over the end. When refitting the spring, this prong will have to then be
lifted to hold things together.

I had a slow leak around the the push rod, so I bought
a rebuild kit for the clutch master. I removed the circlip and the push
rod, but how do you get the rest of the guts out? Bentley simply says to
remove piston seals and spring without much elaboration. Thanks for any
help. John Mitchell 76 TR6
