Thanks for the reminder about this collection of schematics.=C2=A0 I've ha=
d these for many years and I have referred to them on many occasions.=C2=A0=
Kudos to Dan Masters who put a lot of time in research and drawing these u=
p.
The Purple wire feeds the horns and the Flash-to-Pass function but the main=
power for the headlights comes directly from the power tap on the battery =
cable so unless you are driving around holding the Flash-to-Pass I am at a =
loss to explain a direct interconnection.=C2=A0 A dodgy connection in the f=
use block could be the cause if it were otherwise.=C2=A0 Something to look =
for is a wire-to-wire short in the harnesses that lead down from the steeri=
ng wheel.

Did you or anyone else do some work under the dash and disconnect and recon=
nect wires?

#yiv4335451509 P {margin-top:0;margin-bottom:0;}First, do you have the nice=
 color schematics, found here.=C2=A0http://www.advanceautowire.com/tr2506.p=

I'm no electrician, but have had pretty good luck. Looking at the purple ci=
rcuit on a 76, it does seem there's a connection with the horn and the flas=
h-to-pass switch. Could it be your horn relay is going bad, and sending neg=
ative back up thru the purple wire, and it's making its way over to the fla=
sh-to-pass/dimmer switch, causing your lights to blink? Do they blink 'on' =
or 'off', and does the horn also blow?=C2=A0
Be aware that the headlight circuit is not fused or even protected by a cir=
cuit breaker, so=C2=A0 you could be treading in dangerous waters. You'll se=
e the brown wires are a direct connection between the battery and the headl=
ight switch, and also provide the 12v power to the purple circuit which is =
the 'always' on fuse (horn, glove box, hazard flashers).=C2=A0 So this is a=
ll definitely related.=C2=A0

Sorry I was not too specific on describing my problem.=C2=A0 It is the head=
lights that blink when I press the horn button.=C2=A0 I've had the car for =
18 years,=C2=A0 daily driver, never had an electrical issue until now,=C2=
