Hi Tom, I found a guy to polish the windshield and I just picked it up.
He got the worst of the wiper scratches out of it and it looks real
good. He used a machine that looks like a router and spins at about 5000
RPM. It's hooked to a bucket of milky grit solution which is pumped into
the polisher. The polisher seals to the windshield with a neoprene like
seal to keep the solution from spraying all over. He has to keep it
moving across the glass or the glass will overheat and crack. It works
best on flat glass so it got a little tricky at the curve of the
windshield. Thought you might be interested. Cost was $60.
Can't wait to get it installed so I can see again. Thanks for all
