Anyone out there taken apart a SV OD Tranny before?
I pulled off the bell housing, input shaft, OD and the forks, and dropped
the cluster gear. I loosened the nut on the back holding the mainshaft
into the bearing. But now, I can't seem to go any further. I've been
hammering away at the end of the main shaft and it's not going forward.
(I'm using a lead mallet rested against the tail, and am hitting the other
end of the lead mallet with a smaller sledge type hammer).
Nothing seems to be blocking it. It just seems to be well fixed between
the bearing and the main shaft.
Any ideas or suggestions?
