I got the word today that Tom P had led the race for about 10 laps until
his rear axle broke (DNF). Apparently, this had happened earlier. Barry
S. was also doing pretty good, but he spun on the last lap and hit the
radiator (DNF). Reid, one of the big mouth Toyota racers, that always
protests the Tigers, spun out when Tom was protecting his line! Reid
protested that he thought Tom pushed him off the track. Doug Jennings
said a fight almost broke out between the Toyota bums and the Tiger
crew. COOL!
